Terms of Service & AI Privacy Guarantees
Effective Date: July 30, 2026. Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Facilide ("the Service", "the Cockpit", "we", "us", or "our").
We hold a fundamental commitment to privacy in corporate ideation, strategy clinics, and innovation offsites. Facilide operates as a stateless pass runner:
- Zero Persistence: Your prompts, session notes, and AI responses are never saved to any database.
- No Model Training: Communications processed via Anthropic Claude APIs are never used to train public or proprietary models.
- Transient Processing: Session context exists solely in-memory during active AI pass execution.
- User Ownership: All AI outputs write directly to your local or connected GitHub Markdown vault.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Facilide (whether via hosted web application at facilide.com, self-hosted local instance, or mobile capture route `/m`), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must discontinue use of the Service immediately.
2. Vault Native Architecture & Content Storage
Facilide is designed with a zero-cloud-database architecture. You retain complete, sole ownership of all workshop content, sticky notes, agenda items, and synthesized deliverables.
When connected to GitHub, Facilide performs writes via atomic Git commits directly into your designated repository as standard Markdown files with YAML frontmatter.
Your files remain 100% human-readable and fully compatible with Obsidian, VS Code / Cursor, Claude Code, and standard Git tooling.
3. AI Service Provider & Anthropic API Retraining Policy
AI synthesis, distillation, provocation, and vision transcription features in Facilide are powered by the Anthropic Claude API (specifically `claude-haiku-4-5` for live concierge/OCR and `claude-sonnet-4-6` for heavy analytical passes).
Unlike consumer web interfaces (such as free or pro accounts on claude.ai where user inputs may be subject to opt-out policies for model training), Facilide operates exclusively via Anthropic's Commercial Developer API.
Under Anthropic's Commercial API Terms of Service, data sent through API endpoints is NEVER used to train or retrain Claude models by default.
Facilide does not log, harvest, or retain any prompt inputs or AI outputs on any server or database.
4. GitHub Authentication & API Key Responsibilities
When authenticating via GitHub OAuth, Facilide requests minimum required permissions necessary to read and commit markdown files within repositories you explicitly grant access to.
- In Hosted Mode, session tokens are signed with encrypted HTTP-only cookies (`SESSION_SECRET`).
- In Developer / Self-Hosted Mode, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your local `.env.local` file containing your `ANTHROPIC_API_KEY` and GitHub App secrets.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
FACILIDE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED SYNTHESIS PASSES WILL BE ENTIRELY FREE OF HALLUCINATIONS OR ACCURACY DISCREPANCIES. FACILITATORS ARE ENCOURAGED TO REVIEW PROPOSED PASS DIFFS PRIOR TO COMMIT.
